Ok. So I signed up for this Communications Associate Program with TI and I thought... sure I'm qualified with my degree that highlights english and marketing. But NO I get an e-mail this morning that said they won't consider me. Bastards. :(
Here's the qualifications & job description. I thought I could totally do it.

Job Description While working in the Texas Instruments Communications Associate Program, employees gain experience during two 2-year rotations prior to beginning a long-term position. Below is a description of experience gained during the rotation in two different communications functions within TI.

Associates in Market Communications:

Gain a working knowledge of the products and market environment
Assist product marketing in the development of marketing strategies
Develop supporting communications objectives and strategies
Plan, execute and measure worldwide communication programs
Articulate and manage communication messages relative to TI’s overall brand strategy
Serve as an interface between product groups and service functions
Consolidate and synthesize comments and approvals
Gather and report on competitive communication activities
Associates in Media Relations:

Help develop and maintain media relations strategies
Help develop a proactive program to influence the editorial and industry analyst community while insuring ties to TI strategies
Participate in press tours to publications/sites, editor visits to TI sites, editorial briefings at trade shows, press conferences and telephone interviews with editors, news releases, editorial backgrounders, white papers, fact sheets and mini-speeches.
Associates in Public Affairs:

Develop communications strategies that increase TI’s positive reputation and influence in communities where we operate and in key markets
Participate in business and trade association activities that advance TI’s public policy objectives
Manage key events and announcements of TI volunteer, philanthropic and political activities
Execute internal communications programs to increase employee awareness of TI activities and opportunities with government and in the community
Associates in Internet Marketing:

Develop online strategies and participate in project teams that improve the functionality of TI.com for our primary target audience - design engineers. Areas of focus include: search, recommendation engines, personalization, globalization, community/social networking and online design tools.
Work with the product groups to manage online content which will drive online conversions and ultimately business for the company
Drive key initiatives to further our online sales tools, including those that help our sales channels manage product and customer information
Execute email marketing programs that are behavioral triggered and make relevant offers to customers
Other training opportunities include:

Writing feature articles on TI businesses for employee communication publications
Manage projects using various tactics which may include email, Web, literature, advertising, direct mail, trade shows, newsletters, satellite broadcasts and video.
Minimum qualifications include a 3.0 grade point average and either US citizenship or permanent residency.
