I could never live in NYC. I tried to meet up with some pals at the Khyber tonight, but Old City seemed like it morphed into Manhattan. Taxis everywhere, lots of honking, lots of people jaywalking in groups, cars running red lights. Oh, and the extra special touches were the Hummer limos, the valet parking taking over everything, and ABSOLUTELY NO PARKING FOR BLOCKS AND BLOCKS AND BLOCKS. I drove around Old City for 45 mins before I gave up and went home. Humph. That's it, I'm not going into popular places in the city on weekends, because that's what my weeknights are for.
The next-door neighbors have a declawed outdoor cat...how cruel is that?!? It's been hanging at around my house for a couple weeks now. My mom bought some cat food and cat toys, and now it kind of lives on our front porch, even though it's the neighbor's cat. It's the best cat ever too...it will wait for you in the driveway to come home. S/he will follow you up to the porch and sit on your lap and purr. I'm thinking about naming it, and my mom is thinking about giving the cat away! It's not even our cat!
My 22nd birthday is on Monday...do you have anything you want to say to me on that day? ;-)
