Octavian is a Bastard and other randomness...

Okay. Rome. Wow. Well, so much for historical accuracy but damn it's good watchin'. I don't know where to start.

First of all: Pullo?!?!?!?! WTH were you thinking? Poor, poor Eirene. Men are real bastards. Which brings me to my next bit. Octavian, you are the king of all bastards, literally and figuratively. He is so fucked in the head, it's a thing of beauty. The cool, logical detachment he shows is nothing short of chilling. The only men that managed to survive my outrage were Agrippa & Voreneus, and Voreneus only dodged the hate because he was barely in this episode. Even Maecenas deserves a bitch slap for rubbing the salt in Agrippa's wound. Poor Agrippa. If Chris and his best friend hadn't been watching with me, I'd have been in tears. He was just so sad. You could just feel the heartbreak radiating off of him.

And now for the women...Wow. Psycho much, Servilia? Thank god that storyline is done though. Atia is now in uber-bitch mode, I'd stay away from her if I was Octavian. Octavia looked like a deer in headlights towards the end. Poor girl. She couldn't even look at Agrippa. And Gaia....oooo that is one little hussy I'd love to see at the bottom of a river. I have to say, it's unusual for me to hate a character so vehemently, but I'll make an exception for her.

I'm really sick of the Timon turmoil. I'm glad the brother is gone. Although, I suppose at this point we'll see religiouszealot!Timon in response to everything. Or maybe he'll go crawling back to Atia.

I've been very careful to avoid spoilers as much as possible, but I know what's coming for Eirene (it is kind of obvious) and I am not gonna like it. :( She's been one of my favorites since the beginning. She said so much with her face before she even had lines. (it took how many episodes before she talked?) Her relationship with Pullo has been so up and down, but they are so cute together. I adore them. As evidenced by the icon. And now Pullo has gone and royally screwed it up. Typical.

Anyway, that's my all over the map thoughts on Rome this week. Where I talk about everything but the actual plot points.

fangirling, rome
