Yesterday, a big storm came. Bee was driving to come get me and M.E. from the library, when he saw the storm coming right at him. (You ever done that- driven into a storm? It's so cool how you can see it up ahead). But as he got closer, he realized what he was seeing was a huge cloud of whirling pollen that had swept out in front of the storm! The pollen has been crazy around here. Yesterday morning I went out back to gather up books we'd left outside because I knew it was going to rain. I couldn't figure out how M.E. had managed to cover them all in yellow sidewalk chalk. When I put them down, my palms were yellow. Took me a minute or two to figure out it was pollen.

Anyway, the storm washed away the pollen and the barometric pressure changed and I no longer want to stay in bed all day and wonder why I ever thought homeschooling was a good idea. My teeth stopped hurting and whatever was damping down my spirits has lifted. I can't believe the difference. Allergies sure do suck.
