Oh Maxis, you really shouldn't have...
Download and Rambles: This is the beginning of the You Shouldn't Have project. Do you ever feel, as you scroll through body shop, that Maxis/EA is kind of like your sweet aunt who tries really hard but just misses the mark with her gifts? I mean, we all know some of the Maxis textures are great, but the meshes they're on suck. Or the mesh is pretty, but the textures are... weird. Or you could maybe use an alpha on something else. So in honor of the fact that I always sort of feel like "oh... you shouldn't have" when I go through body shop, I started this little project. I've been looking through body shop for Maxis textures (or meshes) that can be salvaged, and I've found some interesting things so far. One of those was these shoes.
This is just a tiny, tiny upload for the new year: some Maxis shoes from one of their "Asian" dresses, slapped on Chalkmetal's pantsless flats mesh.
Not everyone's taste, but I've been looking for different shoes for my sims for awhile, and this texture was cute, so. I've done just the one color - told you it was a tiny upload - but I might finish the rest of them. Sorry for the crappy preview, but this was the best way I could think of to make sure the texture was visible.
