We got a new TV.
Our old one had these lines at the top of the screen and the sound was going, so my parents decided to get a new tv and a new tv stand. Which was a big hassle.
And I have to say, I've never been a fan of large televisions. All of that high-definition, gigantic screen, record programs nonsense has never appealed to me. Just give me a television that plays the local news stations and some cartoons and I'm happy. High definition makes me feel like I'm being smacked in the face.
The funny thing is, the high definition cable box doesn't work with the TV, so guess what? Our brand-new million inch television is hooked directly up to the wall, getting basic cable. HA HA HA. We'll get the problem fixed, but man. And it's a good thing we don't want to spend extra money, because if they got one of those digital recording thingies I might just have to go Amish. ...I really don't know what my problem with technology is.
