But first, I have to tell you about all of the awesome parts of my day. Copied and pasted from an IM with my lovely boyfriend, but no longer in IM format. I turned it into paragraphs! :)
There's some backstory to the first awesome thing that happened. Yesterday in class we started discussing this horrible poem called The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock. Ever heard of it? There's this part near the beginning that mentions something about faces and how we put on different faces in public than we do in private, you know, like how we smile at people even though we wish everyone would die? So that part, about faces, reminded me of the part in Eleanor Rigby where they say "wearing the face that she keeps in a jar by the door, who is it for?" so I brought that up. And Mrs. Long was all "hey, that's a good analogy", and later on she was all "if you would have said that in an essay, that would have been great."
So today we come to class and take this easy test on Othello (we all thought it was going to be hard, and it wasn't! :-)) And then, after the test, she was all "Remember when G brought up the song Eleanor Rigby? Well I have the lyrics here and an analysis sheet....." It turns out there's an AP practice book that incluced the song as one of the poems to analyze. Which was just awesome.
2nd period. Yesterday I forgot to hand in some work because, I dunno, I got stupid or something. So today I was like "Will she let me turn it in? Will she let me turn it in?" We didn't have to do typing today *yaaay*.
Instead we read an article about like, Chinese clothes or something.
And we had circle time, and I contributed two really good points to the discussion, and then she let me hand in my work. So 2nd period was awesome.
Okay 3rd period was awesome. Today Mrs. Grady put us into our cooking groups. I got away from the stupid Freshman guy and the Lying Puerto Rican (seriously, everything she says is a lieeeeeee, and I haven't come up with a better name than "Lying Puerto Rican") but got to stay with my little Freshman girl, Laurel. She's such a bitch, it's AWESOME. And in our group are three dudes who I don't know and who need baths, but I can bully them into doing oven things. K fourth period, we had a test on Ch. 5, which was a kind of good chapter, so the test was like........ easy.
Fifth period was okay since we had a test, and thus, BUSH DIDN'T TALK TO US. Awesomeeee.
7th was awesome because we learned some stuff that I've known for like years so I was all smart and stuff, and I think I'm going to do well when we take the test. I hope. And yesterday I got an 80 on a test. :-)
P.S. I had to take Jessica home today. And Mrs. Long said "Tell Lord Paul I said hey, or whatever his name is" <33333 Mrs. Looong.
P.P.S. BIANCA AND I MADE IT ONTO THE FINAL BALLOT FOR SUPERLATIVES, YAAAAAAY! I hope we win. Bitches better recognize.
Oh, and: I GO TO SEE PAUL MCCARTNEY TOMORROW, IN CONCERT. LIVE. OMGZ.
