It was nice of GenCon to put up signs this year. Usually I have no clue it's going on until I almost hit some jedi/fairy/superhero who's illegally crossing the street into oncoming traffic.

I'm kind of surprised they didn't advertize a bit more. For as big and well known as it is, one would think they would warn the locals of a geek invasion.

I was going to go this year too, but alas, Otakon fell right before and I can't pull off two major trips in a year.

The RCA Dome is rubble at this point, right? I heard tell that that was going to shut down parts of the convention center this year and next.

Unfortunately, I can't go this year. Hope to next year though.

No, it's still standing for now. They just finished up the new football stadium (which I think is a total misuse of 900 million dollars, but whatever) and the RCA Dome was kept intact as a backup. I believe they will start the demo pretty soon though and the space will be used to expand the convention center.
