We hit a traffic jam climbing to Loveland pass the one time we drove across the state, so we got off and took the old road, and then had to stop and make snowballs (in July) from one of the "small" (house sized) patches of snow that was fighting against the summer sun. I think we ended up stopping in Grand Junction for the night. And there we learned about Mike, the Headless Chicken.
Sleep well, and have a good day driving across UT.
Oh, and I don't see less talent, so much as a difference in practice time between the two drawings.
Grand Junction! That's where we were! Thank you! We did not learn of Mike the Headless Chicken while we were there, but since you mentioned him, we looked him up. Wow, what a story! Thank you for that as well!
And it is very sweet of you to say that about my drawing, you are a true gentleman.
So cool! Someone should have told them they should save that particular paper table over.
Miss you and looking forward to seeing you soon- but so glad you have had a great trip!
I agree with vnend- I couldn't draw what you did, Ivy. Sure, Scott's an artist by profession and as many do, I'm guessing he started in childhood and probably with an extra dose of talent, but the work he has done on technique and more is also part of his end product. Also the interest- a good friend who is an artist and art professor told me of her first visit to an art museum. It was a school field trip in 2nd grade. She said she was completely enthralled- the colors! The textures! - and even got herself in trouble by reaching out to touch one. She didn't mean to do anything wrong, she was just very drawn to it. I never experienced anything like that with art. However I had the same feeling, since childhood, about babies!
