Internet access at Nana's?!? Astounding and mysterious!! We're here for the night to visit Nana and its pleasant here as usual. Suffice it to say, I do miss Ocean City. I had to go back to Chatham on Tuesday and half of today for a single, 20 minute endocrinologist appointment and I found that nothing has changed here. The trees are still and the air is heavy and humid. There is no wind, and no sound save for the occasional hoot of an owl. My friends have not changed either and as good as it was to visit, we found ourselves once again faced with our 2 insanely exciting options for the night: 1.) my house or 2.) their house. Shock of my life.
Uh. Who throws parties in that town? and how am I not acquainted with them? I know theyre out there... and most importantly, they're missing ME.
Oh well...
I watched Pan's Labrynth (finally) and I bawled my eyes out at the end. I was shocked, since only one other movie in all my 19 years of film-viewing has had that effect on me. What a crusher.
The other night, Paul walked me home from work twisted on shrooms and prepared hot dogs for James and I. That same night, James, Celia, Maureen and I watched Legend, perhaps one of the worst (and most glittery) movies ever made and then decided to follow that up with the Beatles' Help! since we were going to have a "Stupid Movie Marathon" but by then it was 4 in the morning and we were beginning to drift off to sleep. Work on Monday nights is delightful on account of the fact that no one comes in the store and me and the other kids drink tea and play word puzzles and speak in strange voices. Tomorrow my summer continues its fantastic collision of random, insignificant happenings, all sweetly coated in contentment. God, I only hope hope hope my school year is just as awesome. Please let this be so.
