Because I really need a hug today, and I'm sure everyone else would feel better off with one as well. Especially if it's one that involves an adorable baby elephant hugging his nice zoo person. Does this have anything at all to do with St. Patrick's Day? Not particularly, no. But I don't think the same level of epic cuteness could be achieved with poorly-drawn leprechauns anyway.
