we are tied up in desire and we won't let go

I really like to doctor my scrambled eggs. Now, let me tell you, I am a big fan of scrambled eggs, and have been for a very long time. I like mine wet, so it pains me to cook them for my mom- she likes them so dry that they make squeaky noises when they're cooking in the pan. And we both like ours with adobo, which you can probably buy in the hispanic section of your grocery stores, with the Goya products. Anyway, I spruce up my eggs like I spruce up my ramen noodles, and I just made myself scrambled eggs with broccoli florets, bits of canned chicken, adobo, and shredded sharp cheddar. Mmmm. I think cheese makes the eggs taste sooo much better. Not that egg by itself doesn't taste very nice, too, but with cheese added it's a little closer to heavenly.

[I doctor my ramen noodles with konbu, wakame, kamaboko, shiitake mushrooms, egg, and the occasional bamboo shoot]

Meanwhile, I can't wait for all this snow to melt. I know that the snowpocalypse won't be easy to get rid of, but we've had quite a few warm days and it's melted the snow so that I'm not stuck in it when I attempt to walk across the front yard. In fact, there are even the occasional clumps of green grass. In a good omen of spring to come, I saw a robin today. Perhaps it's because I'm a summer baby, but I can't stand winter. Much of it is uncompromisingly grey, dull, and freezing, and even when it's brightly sunny, it's a white-cold kind of light that seems to emphasis the bare sterility of the empty trees and the brown grass. It's beautiful when there's snowfall, even more beautiful when it's covered in ice, but there isn't nearly enough of that sort of precipitation here to label winters attractive. (Also I'd get tired of snow much more quickly than I'd get tired of warm weather.)

I think my favorite winter day was when it snowed overnight, melted, then froze. The world was entirely covered in a nice sheath of ice- trees, bushes, cars, grass, everything. It looked like everything had turned to crystal.

Went to Best Buy the other day, and stared unblinkingly at the anime section with the expression of the mildly deranged. Cursed my lack of anime funds. Currently I would like to buy the following:

Princess Tutu: Never watched, but heard it was very good and had strong fairytale themes. Anyone who has seen it, will I hate the main character?

Soul Eater: Read the manga, watched a few anime episodes. Would like to watch it in its entirety.

Glee: Have yet to watch the whole thing, but got hooked on what I saw. Oh, you high school crack, you. Still do not like Kurt.
