So, maple sugar candy is delicious. It melts into a soft, mapley pile of sugar on the tongue and it has a much finer grain than the sugar I am used to eating. Mmm. Little leaves of deliciousness.
I met the kids I used to babysit when I was in middle school-high school, and the kid I knew as a toddler, who I used to throw on the couch and call 'Amazing Allie' is now a teenager who works at Coldstone. The 'baby' is eleven years old, and looks very much like her oldest sister, Sinead- who is now in college. It's insane, because in my mind, Allie is always around four and tiny and adorable, and Diedre is always a baby, and they forever live in the townhouse behind the woods just behind our house. I feel so old talking to these kids. It does help, though, that when we ended up having 'Twilight' brought into the conversation, the teenager hated it and thought Edward Cullen was a creepy stalker and the books poorly-written, and the eleven year-old thought Edward Cullen looked dead. Oh, kids. No wonder I loved babysitting you so much.
