Long Time No See LJ.
Well hello there LJ it has been a very long time. How am I? Well let's just say a lot has happened since last October.
On March 10th of this year my father died from Dementia. It was heartbreaking and our family barely got through it, but we are still holding together. I was fired from my job on Christmas eve of last year through a text message, rather than be told to my face. I am currently a substitute teacher again to help make the bills which seem to pile up every month. Oh and get this, we still have to pay off the balance of Dad's care. Yup just goes to show life is not fair.
However, there are a few bright spots. Martha is starting her Doctorate and hopefully a new job. And me? I start my Masters tomorrow. :-) That's right, I start school tomorrow. I also get the same grant Martha had so no financial burden on anyone.
I'm really hoping this education will get me a decent salary and a better life.
Also, I turn 30 in a few months and I'm still trying to process that. So overall LJ it has been crazy and I hope to God above this all continues in an up trend. We've had years of terrible luck, it would be nice to finally put all that shit behind us.
