Well, day 2 of my Literature and Film class. I like it so far. We're focusing on Sci-Fi which is awesome. Right now, I'm watching "Star Odyssey"...which is interesting. There's barely any information about it online. Which kind of sucks since I do have to write an info sheet on it. But it seems better than "Robot Pilot" or "Ring of Terror". Although, I will be honest. I think those two started to bore me since they're in black and white. And there's no caption! :(
Yesterday, we watched the original "The Day the Earth Stood Still" and had to read the original text of it. Very different. Today, we watched the 1978 version of "Invasion of the Body Snatchers"...which was a weird movie. I don't like how it ended. Thursday, we're watching "The Day After". Later in the semester, we're watching "I, Robot" which I honestly never had an interest in watching, despite Will Smith being in it. (Right now, in Star Odyssey, it's a boxing match between a man and what looks to be a robot...yeah, that's a fair fight). But it'll be a fun class. :)
So today, I had my first jury duty to report to. I sat around for about 3 hours to be dismissed. I was in the first group who had to go to a courtroom. I wasn't even one of the jurors they talked to. I just sat there, bored out of my mind. I missed my shift at work, but thankfully I got out in time for my class. :) I was very happy when I got back to the jury room and they said "We just need your badge and you can go." I saw my sign language teacher from last fall semester though. That was cool. But based on the questions they were asking, it's probably good they never talked to me cause I could tell that I wouldn't be impartial. But whatever. That's about it.
