Thanks! Did you look at the link at the end of the story to a Jensen Ackles photo gallery? Some of the pictures from his early modeling career...yeah. Of course, that's a bit older than I was going for. Also, some of those pictures--what were the wardrobe people thinking?

Wow... I, I don't know really. I've read a lot of 'hooker Dean' fics but this... was good. The writing style and John's pov worked quite well. So interesting seeing this through John and I think you managed to describe both his thoughts and actions realistically. His thoughts on both his sons came across as very fatherly and made me love him. I think, though, that the Jim parts were my favorites. He felt real in the way you portrayed him and very sympathetic... both his talk with Dean and his words to John were painful but loving and, yeah, I just love Jim here. And poor Dean... so fucked up in his thinking and so in need... pulls at the heart strings a little.

"Dean would do anything for this family," John said quietly. "Anything. What am I supposed to do with that?"

Jim squeezed his shoulder briefly. "Don't fuck it up."

No those last lines? Awesome.

This is a really fantastic view of this sort of story - Dean's prostitution from John's point of view. Really excellent to see him completely lose his cool and then have to deal with the fallout.

Poor Dean, all he ever wanted was to be needed by his family and get to stay - heartbreaking how he thought his dad was going to leave him behind, there at Pastor Jim's.

Dean is such a wonderful woobie. And--John hauled Dean's butt to Pastor Jim's in the middle of the night; what was he supposed to think? I'm glad you enjoyed it! I certainly enjoyed making John lose his cool.

Oh, good job! I don't normally read hooker fic, but you wooed me with your A/N, and I was not disappointed. You're John POV is wonderful-- his confusion and doubt and guilt ring so true. And I adore your Pastor Jim here, so wise and careful with Dean, and harsh and honest with John. Also, I like the fact that there are certain things Dean only tells Jim and certain things he tells his dad, which makes sense, since these are two very different relationships.

"Dean, I will always need you at my back. This family will always need you. I'm not going to make you leave. You didn't have to win me over."

The fear on Dean's face disappeared. John thought maybe he'd just given Dean what he needed to survive this.

That is just, on. the. mark. Dean, always worried that he needs his family more than they need him... oh!
