I think this is where it hurts that I saw it on the small screen, cause this was a movie shot for the big screen, and it really doesn't translate. So I wasn't as engaged in it as I otherwise would have been, so was more aware of its issues.

I also think the duplo joke was meant to be about age. And the blah blah blah joke about exposition dumping. And all the times Wildstyle is starry eyed about Emmett are to set up his stupidity. And Wildstyle saying she has a boyfriend is to set up the appearance of Batman. And cloud cuckoo land is just meant to be funny because it's wacky. But every one of those jokes has a gendered aspect to it. And the accumulation of them in a film that doesn't pass the Bechdel test just left a bad taste in my mouth, especially with the emotional payoff being father-son bonding that the sister is destructive to. I didn't expect quite so much sexism; it really caught me off guard.

I'm glad the creators say that they're going to beef up roles for women in the sequel. I just wish that meant that the sequel will be about a woman. But I'm not holding my breath.

I'll just be over here watching Once Upon a Time, one of the few shows on television that only has one male character not defined by his relationship to a woman, rather than the other way around.

Technically, it does pass the Bechdel test:

Princess Unikitty: There are no rules, no bedtimes, no bushy mustaches and absolutely no negativity
Wyldstyle: You just said the word "no" about a thousand times.
Princess Unikitty: And there's also no consistency!

It's HILARIOUS to me that you're going to watch Once Upon a Time to get sexism out of your head. While the show does have a preponderance of female characters, it also has absolutely every virgin/mother/crone, saint/whore dynamic at play there is.
