So, there is nothing I love more than waking up at four am to a rumbling belly.
NOT!
Oh well; I finally got out of bed at 5:30 and had a banana, then was possessed by a desire to post in my livejournal. Stranger things have happened--Tony Horton, for example.
Today is the day I get my mattress and bed set delivered to Caren's house in Rochester! Then in just a week I'll be moving in for real--maybe this is the real reason for waking up. I'm not particularly anxious about it--obviously I have my concerns about seeing Mike regularly while being super-awesome at school, but I also have a gut feeling that I'll do just fine and that there is absolutely no reason to be anxious about it. However it doesn't stop my brain from running through the myriad of tasks I'll be expected to complete this semester: taking graduate level classes for the first time, taking probable remedial theory classes, finding the balance between working at Teavana and a campus job, coming home every other weekend to teach, taking koto lessons, taking piano lessons...etc. Multi-tasking is never a rare occurance for a musician--my freshman year of undergraduate I was taking five sets of instrumental lessons at any given time--but I feel like since I'm a masters student now (even the name of it: masters! I must MASTER everything I do!), everything will supposedly be that much more difficult. We'll see.
As Tony Horton has said: "Do your best, and forget the rest." Also, I'm typing this with a completely straight face.
