An Anniversary, Of Sorts
Long, rambly and a poll.
First, for those of you on my flist who have been keeping S7 spoilers behind ljcuts. Bless you! [passes around the cinnimmon Kal lollipops!] And those of you that haven't. A pox on you! Bad flister! No Kal for you! *g*
Ahem, one year ago this month I got distracted by teh pretty one and spent the rest of the summer catching up on 5 seasons of SV in preparation for S6. One year ago last week I posted my first piece of SV fanfic. [First Tumble, for those of you who are interested] I hadn't written fanfic in a little over 5 years at that point, and never really expected to again. But... *g*
Here I am, one year later with 13 completed fics, 4 works in progress and countless other bits and pieces. Then there's the co-authored stuff with all_you_wanted. I haven't been very prolific compaired to others, but I like to think I've contributed to the pornage a little. :)
There was a your fav fic meme going around awhile ago, and since I'm always late to the party... *g* So here's a list of the 5 fics of mine that I kinda like, in no particular order.
inference - kiddie!Kal. My only G rated fic. I found the lack of kiddie!Kal fic disturbing. So this was my attempt at helping the situation. *g*
My Skin Is Not My Own - Clark-NC-17. Solar flares make Clark horny and leads to wank! This was my 2nd fic posted, and I believe is where I started on my Kal fixation.
If At First You Don't Succeed... Chlark-NC-17. Clark has a dirty mouth and Chloe likes it.
You Are Red, Violent Red - Kaloe-NC-17. Every good little Chlarksmut writer must have a Exile lost summer fic. This was mine and it's probably my fav of the bunch.
Broken - Kaloe-NC-17. This, and it's companion piece, You Never Call Me When You're Sober - Kaloe, Chlark, Clois NC-17, were my attempts with playing with time. Broken seemed to work better than Sober, but I kinda like them both.
I do want to thank everyone who has encouraged me to continue to write. I've met some wonderful people in SV fandom and made some great friends! I heart you all!
Oh, and if anyone is wondering what kinda fanfic I wrote before SV, well, here's a sampling of my previous fandoms.
Marker Of Destiny - R - Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. Padmé contemplates the meaning of Anakin’s cast off Jedi robe. My only SW fic, [we are so not counting the horrid MarySuesques from the 70's]. I wrote this right before Sith came out when I saw this promo shot of Padme looking so hurt.
I was pretty active in Forever Knight fandom for a long time and wrote lots of dark angsty smut. Eventually I'll put them all on my lj... maybe...
With My Hands Bound - R - Forever Knight - DarkNickandNat. One of my last FK fics.
Longview - Nick and its companion piece Longview - Nat - NC-17 - Forever Knight - DarkNickandNat. Both of these were actually nominated for the '98 FK Fanfic Awards, Adult Vingette, but I felt having 2 in one catagory was a bit much so I asked for LV-Nat, since I felt it to be the weaker piece, to be dropped. Much to my surprise and delight LV-Nick won that year. I thought that was pretty kewl. :) The next year I gave up dropping a story because I was the whole freaking adult vingette catagory by myself. Interestingly enough by that time FK fandom was cracking and though there have been awards after the '99's that particular year never got voted on.
Okay, so I've spammed my flist enough today. Methinks I'll go write some smut.
Oh, and a poll... since I'm working on a fic that involves Bizarroe, RedK!Clark-Chloe and Chlark I was wondering...
