Say hello to signora Cicilia Giuliana Carducci...

Well, I figured out a name for my SCA persona. Cicilia Giuliana Carducci... (pronounced Cecilia Juliana Card-ou-chi). Notice the small 's' on signora. That's because she doesn't have a title until I (as her) earn one. I'm thinking of costumes already, though I have to remember to give Marina a call to get back the sewing machine. My persona is from the 1500's, probably later in the century. She is from the Italian Renaissance. I intend to do many projects and get involved. Now after I make sure I want the name 100%, I'll get my membership from the SCA website, and also go to the folkmoots to gain full membership in the Barony. I hope I didn't bore Anaxilas too much. He helped me get a few good books, that helped me decided...but I think I may have bored him and he seemed to want to leave quick. Hope I didn't scare you off ;o)

I'm already thinking many ideas for costuming and the like. I might purchase a few books about the period of time, or at least try to take some out. The Italian Renaissance has always held great interest for me. Dangerous Beauty is my favorite movie. I just can't wait until I begin. I mean fully begin. I'll be in limbo a bit until I get a costume and figure out at least a little bit of a background that I'll be satisfied with. I may go to the Fabric Run, and the 'stitch and bitch' if I get the stuff for the costume and have the money to.

I need to get brown office adhesive tape. Saw a site with a good idea on how to made a replicate of your body for ease of fitting. Great ideas. I think I'll get all of this stuff this weekend. I need a hoop and scissors for the crewel embriodery session Gabriela's teaching, so I might as well pick this up as well. It will help and if I have it done before I start my costume, it will be a hell of a lot easier. I plan on going all out.

Anyways, enough chat for now. I'm not sure what else to say for now. *L* It's three in the morning and I can't sleep. I figure I'll probably end up staying up to go to school, then coming home and crashing. Hmm.

Oh, and if you have any opinions about the name, please tell me. I'm testing it out for now. :)
