Gone. First Jean-Claude and then Anita and I cannot even hate her for it.

What does one do when there is neither love nor revenge to get one up each night?

[ooc: Emo boy is emo. And not noticing that without a Master of the City to supply him with the energy to keep going, he's starting to have less and less "oomph" to wake him each night.]

Are you so dependant on them?

Duty.

Duty.

Laughable in context.

Because of the City being an obstacle for it or because your duty is with those who just left?

My duty would be to the Council, but they are not here and I am not saddened.

My duty might be to love, but they are gone.

I have no duty. I have nothing.

Council? Hm. One made of vampires or another beings?

Look for ways to alleviate your boredom. I understand your feeling, not the one about love exactly, but the aimless sense of being deprived of duty. I try to bear it. Don't you have a job here?

Vampires.

I work at the Raven. It is hardly enough to make waking at night worthwhile.

Fascinating. Vampires in my world wouldn't organize anything like that by themselves, even with all their advantages.

I have been there once. What about looking for a past time or meeting some other people in your work place? I'm informed that many here indulge themselves in the joys of socializing.

Are vampires in your world legal citizens?

Ah yes, I can take up a hobby. Perhaps knitting.

Hah. Of course they aren't. They can't even be trusted alone without human supervision. That isn't their fault, just the nature of the curse.

There's no need of sarcasm. In a place like is, there should be something that attracts your interested. We have everything from angels to oversize robots.

How casually offensive you are.

Because I spoke "ill" about vampires? Unfortunately, that is how the undead of my world are most of the time, unless they work for a human being. I would want it to be different. For Alucard, Walter, Seras...

I am fully aware this isn't the same in other worlds, my prolonged stay here has showed me as much. I mean no disrespect to your kind.

So speaks the human. No doubt there are humans in my world who would hold similar opinions were it at all possible for vampires to have human masters.

Happiness is slavery, n'est ce pas?

I am not lying.

And you shouldn't speak of humans having vampire servants; Anita has told me your kind takes human servants.

No, you believe what you are saying to be true. That does not make it so.

Yes. A symbiosis.

That describes perfectly what my vampire subordinates and I have. They need a human will to control their nature. I need their aid to face those vampires and humans who are out of control and endanger my country. We have common interests; it isn't slavery.

If they lack the will to control their own natures, they deserve a vampire master to do it for them.
