A Violent Peace
I said a couple of weeks ago there would be some change here? Here's the announcement of those "news"! I decided to create a community here on LiveJournal for my artwork. That way people wouldn't need to friend this journal and have all the random updates that I make here if they only wish to follow my art. Plus, even non-LJ user can comment, so I thought it was good option. Ideally, I would prefer having my own website and domain, but that's for future plan! I'm going one step at a time. I'm still a little newbie into the art world! There's a lot that I need to learn.
Where can you find my community?

I doubt I need to explain how it works. I'll only say that the main navigation is located at the sidebar where you can find the "index", "introduction", "gallery" and "work in progress" pages. I also have a "FAQ" section talking about copyrights, commissions, and other general information.
I'm only asking to read the community profile to know how things works at a_violent_peace, or the intro if you want to learn more. But, it's the same intro that I posted here. Its basic rules that most people already know about (common sense), but I think it's still important to refresh people's memory from time to time.
Why "A Violent Peace"?
It's a little bit of the new concept of my art, "a violent peace". My new way of thinking regarding my inspiration. It's the new main path my art will take from now. I desire to show strong messages into my drawings. I want people to feel something when they see them. Either it is good or bad. I want the pieces to speak and shout despite their stillness. I want people to be able to relate themselves to these. I want them to be moved, to feel something inside when they look at the picture. Read the story hidden between those lines.
I've had this idea of doing more "conceptual" drawings ever since I had the idea for my series Beauty in the Broken (which I will continue eventually). Numb is the initiator of this new concept. Yes, I already posted the drawing at the community for the official opening ;) I don't think all my drawings will be associated with the concept but most of them yes. Especially when it comes to personal projects.
So, all these are all some baby steps in order to one day host my own domain and have my own website. Maybe even have an online shop if it goes there. I don't know yet where this will lead me, but I want to get more serious with my passion. I really want to make this work out. At least try all that I can. I know I can't live out of this but, if I can in a way, I'll be more than blessed. If it doesn't work, at least I'll have try something! We don't get anything by waiting effortless.
What's happening with ivory_and_irony?
This journal will stay my art journal where I post about my thoughts about upcoming drawings, ideas or anything related to art and my life. So, it'll mostly stay a blog where I'll post once in a while some WIPs. I won't post anymore finished drawings however. All these will be post at the community. This journal still remains partially friends only.
For the few people who have friend this journal to follow my art. I invite you to join a_violent_peace! Feel free to comment over there as well.
