1. How about a brief introduction of yourself?
Hello! *waves* Im Ivoriania, um, from the UK, er, yeaaaaaaahhhh, im no good at the whole "Introduce yourself things" (you should see me in a room full of strangers haha!)
2. And what got you into fanfiction to begin with?
Oooooh, Im not really that sure. I'm going to say its because sometimes I used to think up whole different storylines for characters in a TV show.
3. What kind of fanfiction do you like to write?
DESCRIPTION, dear, actual mother of chocolate, I LOVE writing about the way people move (Matt Smith is a FAVE for moving like some sort of dizzy Alpaca), what they look like, how they express what they're feeling, what they are or aren't wearing. Well, actually is description a valid answer? Or did I have to answer with a specific Genre? Cause if so I had to be sappy and say I do rather like romance, physical or emotional is fine.
4. Do you tend to write the same pairings/characters? Or are you a fandom whore?
I ONLY HAVE ONE PAIRING.
RIVER SONG AND THE ELEVENTH DOCTOR. THIS IS THE ONLY PAIRING I'VE EVER WANTED TO WRITE.
WHY? CAUSE, (GOING TO REPEAT MYSELF I KNOW, IM SORRY) LOOK AT THEM. HAVE YOU SEEN THE WAY THEY MOVE AND WHAT THEY WEAR? JON BON JESUS WRITING DESCRIPTIVES FOR THEM ACTUALLY MAKES ME SO VERY VERY VERY HAPPY.
5. What is your most popular fanfic and why do you think people like it so?
I dont really know, as i havent posted that many fics.
6. Forget other people...what is the fanfic you've written that you're most proud of?
I wrote one about a younger river and the doctor meeting in a coffee shop. I like that one, it was my first one, and i even did some dialogue!
7. Do you find writing easy? Hard? What are the most difficult aspects of writing?
I find it kinda hard actually finding the right words for the buggers! This is most likely gonna sound strange, but in my head I can actually SEE what Im trying to write. As in I can how they smile, how they cry, what they're wearing and how they might react to another person or environment, how they might love someone or kiss someone. In my mind, I can see it, almost like an actual TV program or film or something.... yeah.... i know, bit weird most likely! Also I find it very very hard trying to write how someone is feeling. Half the time i find it hard to register how IM FEELING IRL, let alone a character in a fic.
8. Write a few sentences or so of your favorite pairing or character.
*Tosses a coin over River or the eleventh Doc* Screw it ill tell you about the eleventh doctor and the person who plays him, Matt Smith. I have never seen anybody move with such grace, but still manage to be completly awkward at the same time, honestly the way he gesticulates when he talks and everything seems so...fluid. But to top it off is the way it is essentially a very old man in young mans body, and do you know the why we believe he really is an ancient being? Its the eyes, young and spritely and fun-lovingly filled one moment, and the next filled with an aged sadness and, ya know what?, sometimes thats all thats ever needed. A blink, a glance, a glare or a stare. Sometimes the eyes are the only way you can ever really know how someone is feeling.
9. Are there any fanfiction trends/cliches that you're sick of?
PERFECT RELATIONSHIPS... You need to explore the downs as well as ups!
10. Are you guilty of any of these? Or have you committed other crimes?
I don't THINK im guilty, except for rambling alot.
11. What was the first fandom you wrote for? Do you continue to like/participate in it?
harry potter. Like it, yes, participate, nope.
12. Name your OTPs or most frequently written pairings/characters and explain what it is about them that you love to write.
River/Doctor. Dear god the chemistry and teh timey wimey ness and mystery of it all. And their clothing, I LOVE their clothing, and small little glances and things between them.
13. What would you call your writing "style"?
AHAAAA!!! DESCRIPTIVE!? Is that a style?
14. Do you read other people's fanfics? If so, what do you find yourself reading the most?
oh yes I do!!! Romance and lots of other things.
15. Name one thing you'd LOVE to write but haven't yet.
A proper conversation between characters. oh and actually an ending or finished fic.
16. Do you have trouble taking criticism? Or worse yet, do you have a really bloated ego?
I have an ego, or i wouldnt be posting fic. yes I do have trouble taking criticism due to the fact I usually feel like the cats got the cream when I have written something.
17. When you write is there anything that helps? Music? Quiet room?
Thriving Ivory (A band) helps me. Oh and visuals help too. (a pic of character can help)
18. What inspires you?
Inspires me? Erm.......... I have no clue. Just kinda everything that i can glean an idea from. Fanfiction.net can be good and Livejournal too.
19. Lastly, how would you sum up your fanfiction experiences and yourself as a writer?
All the fanfiction I have written has been due to seeing other peoples, and my brain coughing into action and so far Ive never ever read a completly bad fic. Even the poorer ones have shining pieces.
