Still loving the place, although the job is having it's challenging moments.
I've found a unit. It's a bit shabby, but it has everything I need - most importantly a yard for the dog. She's settled down a lot now that we have familiar things around us, and it takes a lot of the stress out of the day not having to rush back home at lunchtime to let her out.
I'm loving having my own things. Before I left I'd been reading books and blogs on decluttering, but I think they underestimate the comfort of familiar things. My current lounge suite is from my parents house. I think it was reupholstered in the seventies.

But it's not just furniture, it's pots and pans, and books, and having the exact casserole dish you need for a particular favourite. I am clearly a creature of habit.
