I cannot believe how fast the summer is going! But then, it always flies by so I don't why I really should be so surprised... Anyway, I've obviously been too busy to post in a long time and I really don't have much time right now. In short, here's what I've been doing this summer:
1) My little sister got married on July 10th. Lovely wedding, all went well.
2) I've been taking two Master's classes. One finished yesterday and I just have the final project to finish, hopefully this week. The other continues until mid-August. Both have been going well, just a TON of reading -- hence my lack of spare time.
3) I started moving up to Jeff's, but then classes started picking up in July and moving had to go on the back burner. Hoping to get back to that now, but we'll see.
4) Wedding planning continues to go well. Down to the details, which tend to drive me insane from time to time. Getting very annoyed with the rehearsal dinner restaurant as my phone calls are never returned.
5) Started working with Jeff's mom on a dance for our first song. She discovered yesterday that I still count on the off-beats and struggle to actually find the beat, a residual effect of playing 2nd violin for nine years (harmony, never the tune).
6) My big sister and her three kids are all staying with my parents until my wedding. I haven't been home to see them since Allison's wedding, but I'm heading out there today. They've all gotten so big! Joseph will be 4 on 8/2, Isabella is 2 1/2 and Cecilia will be 1 on 7/30. I don't have birthday presents yet for any of them.
7) My bridal shower is this Sunday. Can't believe it's here already. Yikes!
8) Still no honeymoon plans. We're going to Hawaii, but I remain convinced that I'll get a job as soon as we book the tickets. But time is running out!
9) Officially resigned from BCPS on June 24th. Nearly cried when I got my official "we accept your resignation, thank you for your time and services and wish you the best" letter a few days later.
10) My car is in serious need of a wash and probably needs to get the brakes checked. No time for that, though. Hopefully I don't die before I have the chance to get married.
11) Going to Lexington, KY, in about two weeks, my only trip of the summer.
12) I think that's all.
