The New Year
It is offically 2004, well it actually was offical 8 days ago, while I was standing in line for a drink at Con Works for their New Years Party.
I was there with my good friends and about 2000 other people. It was the first year I actually had plans, not just going out to the nearest bar and deciding where hours before. Our main reason for going was to see The Long Winters, but everything else was wonderful as well. (Well EXCEPT for some 7 foot beast who stood directly in front of me for the second half of the Long Winters set....I couldn't believe it).
Now my roomates and I have been planning a party to kick off the New Year. Eat or drink yourself unconscious (or both). It should be fun. Following all that, my birthday is also this weekend. Hopefully I won't be hung over the whole day of it.
As for those New Year's resolutions, I don't usually make them, or stick to them when made. They mostly entail: Get Fit, Make More Money, Meet New People. So this year I am making a Goal that is more specific and I am going to stick to it. My main goal it to get my finances under control and not freak out so much about it....it rules my life sometimes, and if I can just get it under control I don't have to stress about it. (Damn college loans, car payment, and everything in between).
