and the - something - goes on...
another wonderful day in the life of work. it's a really slow day at work, which is both good and bad. good cuz i'm not stressed or anything, bad cuz i'm bored. things are still good at the new apartment, on monday we decided to let kahn be an outdoor cat. we'd had him out on a leash several times and he loved it. he was playing with bugs and trying to run around, and the last time i took him out he started climbing a tree. so monday we let him out, joe read to me outside so we could be around during kahn's first outdoor adventure. it was so funny cuz he kept running off and coming back to the picnic table to say hi, and then run off again. he was absolutely adorable and looked like he was having a blast. later that day he got himself lost or just got scared or something cuz one of our neighbors came by to tell us he was cowering underneath the box outside their place talking to their cats. so we brought him inside, and he's been out a couple times since then, but he's not out all the time by any means.
so the circ director informed us that my supervisor's anticipated first day back is july 8th, which means i don't get to use the computer with speakers and listen to the buzz while working. and i need to get back on the phones (pffft!) probably. i've been enjoying my time of not having to be on the phones all day long, quite a bit in fact. it's amusing because most of the people here aren't sure she's even coming back-i guess it's that 'new mother' thing, they don't want to come back to work apparently, although i'm not sure i blame them.
on an entirely random note I NEED A BLOODY DRESS!! i'm going to a wedding in a month and the dresses i own are black, bright red, white, and navy blue. the only one that i would be willing to wear is the navy blue, but it's a summer wedding, i'd like something kind of summery, and i can't find anything. i've been kind of looking for a few weeks already and being utterly thwarted, as always.
other than that i'm looking forward to dancing saturday night as always. i also have tentative plans to meet rachel in a few weeks to do some shopping which is always fun. hope everybody's enjoying the nice weather.
