long weekend...
the weekend wasn't generally bad, just long. tim told me thursday that ethan and one of his friends were 'getting along well' with a giant gaping hole afterwards. ah-ha sherlock, a clue! and then last night i talked to ethan and nick online, it was funny how they both were checking to see if i heard and ethan asked me how i reacted and nick asked if i was okay. i knew it was going to happen, honestly i'm happy that he's smiling again, but i'm still having that obnoxious reaction that i really don't want to have. it's not really jealousy, i guess i'm just confused about how two weeks ago he was in my face about us having 'something special' and how he would probably just leave fl and come up here if he thought he could get me back. i realize some of that last part is him just being unhappy down there and liking the idea of leaving, but still, and now he's met someone. i wish him the best of luck, i guess he's coming back in about three months when he's done getting his associates.
so anyway, i learned about that thursday night, so he was on my brain friday at work, and i don't remember what i did friday night. worked saturday morning, slept the middle of the day with joe and then we played video games for a while, he was playing wow and i was playing nocturne in the living room, it was a nice chill afternoon and early evening. we saw superman returns saturday night and then went to chilis for dinner, which probably wasn't the best idea because it was a balmy night and i had ethan on the brain and he and i ate at chilis a lot on fl. stupid brain. when we got back to the apt there was more nocturne played and we didn't get to bed until sometime around midnight. sunday we slept in and then went to the boyscout camp joe used to work at to visit friends of his. we had fun, hung out at the waterfront for a bit, he showed me around the camp, went to morrisville for dinner and played some d&d. thankfully one of his friends had a pad and his sleepingbag in the pavilion so i slept through most of the game. they stopped around 12:30 and then we drove home, which took a little over an hour-the camp is in eden.
yesterday we met my parents at moe's for lunch, turns out my cousin from louisiana is in vt so dad picked him up and we had lunch with him and then joe and saw the new pirates movie. after that we went home, played diablo 2 for a while and sort of watched the homerun derby, then i talked to ethan and nick and went to bed. of course i was being a dumb girlfriend and managed to inadvertently upset joe in my distraction, but we talked about it and he let me talk about why i was feeling crappy and ethan and everything and so we fell asleep with everything okay, it was very late, but everything was fine.
so now i'm tired and starting tomorrow i'm dispatching every day. yay for being at work before 6 AM! except, uhm, not. it'll get me out earlier, once a week at 2:30, the rest of it at 3:30. if anybody actually read all of this i'll be surprised, but i wanted to end it by thanking tim for trying to be my friend as well as ethans, and nick for being there, amber, of course, for being one of my closest friends, and joe most of all for everything he's done for me. i don't know if i tell anybody often enough how important to me they are, but i wouldn't be able to get through life without you guys, so thank you, for all that you have done and will do.
