New School Year Resolutions

Aug 26, 2010 21:06

Not in any particular order. Just as they come to me.

1. Not be so entirely life-sucks can't-move only-sleep depressed. Sounds good. Things can only go up!

2. Exercise tons and lose weight! I always manage to lose weight first semester and gain it all back second. I hope that doesn't happen again. It's nice not to feel like a tub of lard.

3. I would say dress up more and actually put effort into my clothes, but I honestly don't care. As long as my hair is clean and face lightly make-uped, I don't mind wearing jeans and t-shirt everyday. I already have a boo, and I'm not a huge fan of sperry/vineyard vines-wearing binge-drinking southern-accent-speaking rich-mama's-boy college guys. My school isn't like a lot of others with girls wearing $500 clothes everyday and where all of them are stick thin. We have a GOOD amount of average to bigger girls so I don't feel so bad. Maybe it's all the fried chicken.

4. Try to like all my teachers. So far it's going well!

BTW, I'm taking:
Animal Behavior where we goto the Memphis zoo every Monday and we learn about monkey infanticide and why they do it, etc. (We don't ONLY learn about that; that would be depressing)

5. SKYPE SKYPE SKYPE. I think that's self-explanatory.

6. Send hand written snail mail and care packages to my boo. Maybe a few posters since his room is as barren as a desert.

7. Eat healthily! Cottage cheese, tomatoes, chicken breasts, whole wheat bread, salads, 60 calorie decadent dulce de leche jello pudding which I am obsessed with recently, and some other stuff including 110 cal fudge bars! :)

8. Not cry myself to sleep about the fact that I have to wait over a month to see Alex and then have to TWO FRIGGEN MONTHS TO SEE HIM AGAIN because ticket prices are so high and I hate my life, can you tell? No. Really. How is it fair that we're such a good couple compared to most other couples and we never get to see each other. I guess since we can handle this it really means something about our relationship.

9. (kinda/this is just me rambling) BTW, I think every relationship should have to go through a period (meaning at least 1 month or longer) of long distance before they get married. If they can't last through it, they do not love each other nearly enough.

10. Be excited about the fact that I'm an upper classman and have LESS than 2 years left! Woohoo! I'll start studying for the MCAT soon and then apply to Med school and hope for the best and hate my life some more but at least I'm be DOING something with it.

11. Not hate my classes if they're too easy. Rhodes lets me down a fair amount on this end but Med school should make up for it (if I ever get in)

12. Not get too worried about Med school and the fact that I think that I won't get in although I don't have any proof of this.

13. Try to be social (sometimes) I guess. I have some good friends here but I don't care too much about them and I'm not crazy about frat parties.

14. Text my friends! Text me guys! Send me facebook messages about what's going on. I always miss everyone but am too lazy/depressed with the lack of fun in my life to contact you.

I'll work on these along with my huge load of homework!
