9:30 to me seems to be well within the midday heat wave. I usually run at 7:30 or 8:00 AM . . . it's usually in the pleasantly low-to-mid 70s then. Also, you can nap during the hottest part of the afternoon! Like people do in Mexico!
I agree! Either I run early (6-8) or I run late (5-7). Any other time of the day I'm like a wilted flower. A few times between work shifts I've run at like 2:30-3 but sheeeesh louise. it's hot!
It's only about 75 around 9:30- I don't personally consider that the "midday heat wave". And considering I do my hardest work out around 8:30-10 pm, I don't sleep until midnight or 1 since exercise invigorates me. Waking up at 7-8 would be a bad choice considering my bedtime. 5-7 pm IS in the midday heat wave though. I also run everyday (except for days where there's no possible way for me to run) and more than once, so I need a fair amount of rest that most people don't particularly need.
