WAH!!
Today, I was wanted by everyone. It was an interesting feeling, and not altogether pleasant.
At the movies with our neighbors (we saw Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, which was good, albeit a bit unrealistic on occasion) I saw the Amazing Meddling Leechwoman from church, who asked me if I could ACOLYTE for her WEDDING!!! I don't even especially like her all that much, but I am curious to see her wedding dress (she's not the type to wear a poofy white concoction). Unfortunately, that day my slate is completely clean, so I have no way to decline without being the height of rude. I suppose it won't be too bad. It is the day before I go to Rawhide, however. *can't wait* I'm a FARMER!!! woohoo!!
Tomorrow we have guests and I'll be expected to babysit while Mom, Dad, and they go wine tasting; I'll be helping ERP with her video project for history from 10:00 to about noon; I have a potential babysitting gig from 5 to 7 at night, if we can work it in around the dinner we're supposed to have out with our guests. I'll be busier than I should be for a Saturday. No time to work on my new knitting project, a grey sweater for my gimpy orphan friend, as she has an enormous hole in the front of her old one.
I'm reading several good books recommended by my father now. *hugs* I've got a book of short stories by Henry Kuttner (Mimsy were the Borogoves!!! *is dead in a puddle of drool*) something by Heinlein called Double Star, and another Heinlein titled I Will Fear No Evil. Plus an Orson Scott Card I HAVEN'T READ (Pastwatch) !!!! *gasp* I shall not lack, waiting for my Mercedes Lackey!!
