hmm i never knew that about you bry! i think thats interesting. if i may ask you, as a buddhist, what are your beliefs of God? and the declining state the world is in?
suffice to say that I don't believe in a "god". I believe that each person is a power unto themselves. you have the ability to make the world better or worse, and you make those decisions every day. I don't believe that the current state of the world is anyone's fault but humanity not having the sanity to co-exist and co-habitate. I believe that thru study and practice of my religion, I can reach a higher level of myself, which is to attain true knowledge. I believe that the state of the world would be much improved if humans were to look at each other and realize that we are all creatures with the same needs and wants, but that the ends to getting those needs are much different and that there is no reason for the war, death and etc. which currently plagues the world.
I also should stress that the Buddhism that I practice is based on the Lotus Sutra, which states that all beings have the ability to attain enlightenment, or buddhahood. I was born into this practice and have studied it my whole life, and continue to.
