The A.U. has been accused of allowing rape of women across conflicts zones in Africa, over the last few years. The African nations refused to accept outside help from the west, perhaps fear of re-colonization was their excuse to cover up more corruptions?
it is known than in nearly every area of operations that UN-AU soldiers pillage and rape, perhaps even more than the Islamic terrorist gangs. Most of this is hidden or when reported not fully investigated.
Recently Burundi was wise in refusing A.U forces into its internal problems, while Kenya has denied its losses of over 67 soldiers in fighting with Al-Shabab. This failure to report the truth must also effect all parts of that nations infrustructure, and has been a constant problem across this continent since the 1960's.
