Russian Nationalism!
This weekend has seen massive rally's across Russia by right-wing groups calling for the removal of foreign workers, Jews and others. Russia is both a multi-racial, and multi-ethnic country and always has been in its thousand year history. The black, yellow and white flags, with their Orthodox religious iconography have very little to do with the facts that the Nazism they claim, was essentially anti-Christian. The adoption of the Celtic cross is an insult to the early Christian missionary exploits of Saint Patrick to the British isles (5th-6th) century. Both the Polish and Russian right-wing seem to have been influenced by N-Ireland/Ulster loyalism, which is in itself anti-Catholic.How sad for the memory of the millions of Soviet Russians who gave their lives in World War -Two for Russia.
