(no subject)
So I havent updated LJ in a long while; Honestly I wasn't going to -- I wanted to say all this via facebook note. I don't know I kind of feel like nobody reads livejournals, and its like im writing to thin air. (speaking of, if anyone actually reads this, i wouldn't mind knowing so). I guess I personally dont feel like that with facebook -- probably cause i check it like 5 times a day, and cause of the newsfeed thing... Unfortunately there seems to be a limit on how long notes can be. Wish they'd get that fixed.
let me see... So much, so much.
Firstly for my NM and Boston peeps (kk, I will never use that word again) who may or may not be wondering how i'm doing in NY;
I'll admit NYU is hard sometimes. The city is occasionally intimidating, and there's always such a vast multitude of things going on and random crap that it makes it very hard to develop a group of "friends" (and i put that term in quotes as obviously real friendships are lifelong and take longer than a couple months to develop) as opposed to random "friends" in the contacts list; this means that its hard to be sure what one is doing on any given night -- this is a little unsettling for me, as i am used to the comfort of a really tight knit group of friends that I always know (knew) is there. A big part of this is not having a campus, which does get hard sometimes. Besides the closer community a campus would bring, i get to miss trees here. Oh and one more thing? EXPENSIVE AS FUCK...
On the other hand, don't get me wrong! Last weekend, I hung out with my floor a lot (smoking and drinking with them for thry nights in a row, in fact) went to the met -- saw the originals of Picasso's Blue Guitarist, Van Gough's Self Portrait in a Straw Hat, Monet's Water Lillies, plus a shitload of Roden, Cezane, Renoir, and all of the afformentioned. Lots of time sent in the occasional commedy clubs, drinks at asian pub, hookah bars, etc... Plus countless Jamba Juice or 2 am fillafel runs. Walks in Washington Square park. Broadway. And besides this NY stuff, normal college shit; Such as never have i ever, or mojitos on a wednesday, or starting an essay at 2 am the night before its due because your roomate just HAD to bring his PS2 and now ALL that Happens in your room is Teken TAG and Mortal Kombat... ALL THE FREAKIN TIME -- Hi my names Victor, and I think i might have a Teken problem. So yeah, Overall I'd definately say I'm doing allright, enjoying life, etc.
Oh yeah... To my BOSTON friends; I WILL BE IN BOSTON on November 17th, 18th, and 25th. Find some time for me? Seriously. I miss you guys.
