Crawl Space

Running
Sliding
Can't stop the pain in hiding

Atlas
At mass
Your venom pierces like a cutlass

Since when did you become a god
Who gave you this cross to bear?
Brandishing your torture around
As if this hurt you cannot share

And you wane
And you're sane
Unlike those who douse
You in flames

So we laugh
In your path
And fill you with that
Deadly wrath

When did life become a chore, baby
That you felt you couldn't do?
Can't you see your sword and shield
Are the very things that doom you?

And your sludge, honey
It coats me very well
Can't wash your slime off my fingers
You speak but never tell

We're crossing paths now
On that winding dusty trail
You think you're running like fox
I see you crawling like a snail

And your shell
Is the only cross you bear
Your protection from this world
Is that which leave you bare.
