AVG, iTunes, Paranoia

So AVG is throwing Trojan Horse errors for iTunes. A google search shows the problem is widespread, but as a semiprofessional paranoid I'd prefer to hear the word from people smarter about computers than myself (and who I know aren't a team of hackers posting multiple falses in multiple places.)

Anyone else run into this, and if so, what's the best advice on fixing it? Thanks in advance ...
