1) Five traits you feel are your most unique, distinctive, and/or prominent:
1. Meticulous / Perfectionistic -- detail-oriented and thorough
2. Contrary -- I've always been immune to peer pressure because I have no qualms about being the only person who holds a certain opinion and voicing it; I just have this contrary streak that sometimes manifests as Stubbornness.
3. Helpful -- I love helping people out, I love being useful
4. Simple -- I'm sort of a "no frills" kind of person; my fashion sense is plain and I'm content with not having a house filled with fancy things -- as long as everything works, I'm good
5. Childish -- evidently this is how my friend would sum me up in one word... but I do think it fits because I like stuffed animals and cute things and I have NO volume control on my voice when I'm excited.

2) How would you describe your sense of humor?
Silly. I like puns. Really bad puns. I like random humor, which is why I actually enjoy Family Guy most of the time -- that show is just. so. random. I like things that are over-the-top adorable or ridiculous.

3) Suppose you and a friend decide to go on a dream vacation/trip. Where do you go and how do you start planning for it?
Taking a page from Breyzy's book... WE ARE GOING TO DISNEY WORLD!! I've never been there before and I feel like I have to go. I know that sounds weird -- I can go anywhere in the world and I stay in the U.S. and visit Disney World? But hush, it's important to me. In general, when planning a trip, I start by doing some research into what activities we can do so that I can figure out how many days we'll want. Then later I figure out travel and hotels and come up with a rough schedule.

4) Suppose you thought you would be busy all day, but suddenly plans got cancelled and you have the whole day free. How do you spend it?
I would spend half the day vegging out (e.g. playing video games or sleeping) and the other half being productive and doing work (not work-work, but fun-work like posting in LJ communities or making progress on a creative project).

5) When faced with a problem where it's possible that people's feelings might get hurt, do you prefer a blunt approach or a diplomatic approach?
A mix of both would be good but I think I tend more toward blunt, mostly because I sometimes don't realize that someone's feelings might be hurt / the situation requires delicacy. In general, I'm pretty direct -- if it's important to me, I'll bring it up without beating around the bush. If it's not important to me, I'll just not say anything at all and forget about it. I don't really like passive-aggressive ways of communicating.

6) Dichotomies
Cooperative [.] [ ] [ ] [ ] [X] Competitive
Explain: I like both cooperative and competitive activities a LOT, but I feel like for me, competition is the bigger motivator for me and energizes me the most (which is why I love contests) and "competitive" is more a part of my personality than "cooperative" is. So I marked it above like that.
Free-form [ ] [ ] [ ] [X] [ ] Structured
Explain: I actually really like structure and order. I work a lot better when I'm given constraints/rules/guidelines like deadlines, specifications, concrete suggestions, etc. than if someone just tells me, "Do whatever you like!" Cannot write free verse at all for this reason, but pump out sonnets just fine. And I like organizing things -- I find amusement in sorting or alphabetizing things or data or whatever. According to my mother, even though my house appears to be a huge mess at first glance, there's actually a logic or order to it, which is true. I didn't mark the farthest spot because I'm don't think I'm so structured as to be inflexible or rote (although I value consistency like whoa). I change my mind like once every 20 seconds and I have trouble doing the same thing over and over again, so I'm totally okay with deviating from the plan -- I just prefer having a plan in the first place.
Even-tempered [ ] [ ] [ ] [X] [ ] Volatile
Explain: Most of the time I'm pretty calm, and I guess people who don't know me very well might think I'm serene or always happy, but I really have very variable emotions. I can go from angry to laughing within thirty seconds. When I'm stressed, I can easily snap at someone but then I'm back to joking with them after a very short cool-down period. Sometimes I can be miserable and despairing and then recover and go back to being positive. So my mood is really very variable.
Idealistic [ ] [X] [ ] [ ] [ ] Realistic
Explain: Hrm, I don't really know how to answer this one. I'm pretty trusting and optimistic and typically expect the best from everyone and everything so I definitely don't think "cynical" could ever be used to describe me. But I don't think I ignore reality or live in dream worlds -- I just sort of live a charmed life, I suppose. I can be too trusting/naive but it hasn't badly burned me. My mindset is more like Ned and Bran and Sansa than it is like Littlefinger or Sandor, if that ASOIAF reference makes sense.

7) Favorites (Feel free to expand on why)
Song/Genre of Music: Classical music. I really like Pachelbel's Canon and Jupiter by Holst. I love orchestral things and harmonies. I tend to prefer instrumental things to lyrical ones, so I really enjoy movie/game soundtracks too.
Animal: I like most animals because I think they're all beautiful or interesting or sometimes adorable or creepy in a way, but I'm not really a pet person at all and I don't particularly LOVE any animals... Aesthetically, I like wolves (they're just beautiful) and large cats (they're so heavy and graceful) and horses (ever since I was, like, six) and things that live deep under the sea (they're so alien-looking!). But yeah, I'm not really big on animals in general.
Food: Curry and sushi and most desserts, but especially cheesecake.
Season: Summer. I NEED WARMTH. I'd much rather be sweating in the sweltering heat than shivering in the cold. I also like long days and get sad when daylight savings happens.
