The Art Update

I have been working hard on creating ideas for making my artwork a bit more user friendly for now. I decide to create these NoteCards. I have been making cards and postcards for a while now, and I since I love sending and receiving mail, so this is a great extension of my artwork. Hopefully other people enjoy it as much as I do.

Actually I have never done any scrapbooking, one day perhaps.
In the summer I discovered Artist Trading Cards (ATC) and since then I started creating mixed media art. I love collages now, but not the ones where random things are glued together and nothing flows. I like things to overlap and look like a painting.

ATCs are 2.5x3.5 cards that artists create and trade amongst each other. They can be of everything.
Here is a community that I belong to and trade there.

Wow, that sounds like a lot of fun! thanks for explaining it to me :)
Sometimes I really 'out' myself when it comes to what's going on in the internet world. I'm still new :P

I can see how making these would be motivational, in that you can work on something and complete it quickly, giving you inspiration to continue in the same direction. Also, I can see how these might lead to larger pieces - say, for example, if you discover a technique you really like or if there is a theme you'd like to explore in larger paintings.

Sometimes, the world and it's people amaze me. There are all sorts of creative outlets I have yet to explore...

So much art, so little time, eh? ;)

Hopefully it will work out, because they are fun to make.
I hope to make some with prints from my own paintings as well as make prints of some paintings I wouldn't be able to part with. Now I have to save for a colour cartridge for my printer ;)

Got you card today! The little pouch was pretty, but unfortunately two of the beads were lost in the journey :(
