He trails off, for a moment, as one arm steals around her waist, pulling her closer.
"Yes," he admits, softly. "She does, very much. I think... I think perhaps it is easy to forget that I saw more of her power than the others did. When so much attention is paid to carefully stepping around the subject of the betrayal, it's easier by far simply to avoid the matter altogether. There was far more to her power than the ability to hold Narnia in winter, or to turn people to stone, or to enslave a boy who would be king."
Another sigh, this one silent, as he reaches up to scrub at his face with one hand.
"Or perhaps I am wrong, and they think on it often and keep it well in mind, and simply avoid mentioning it whenever I'm near."
"I... know," still thoughtfully, as though he's trying out the words as he says them, and isn't at all certain he does know, although he also apparently suspects he does a great deal.

He paces over towards her, sliding down the wall to sit with his head almost between his knees, just next to her.

She leans over and rests her head on his shoulder.
"I could kill her for you, but it'd be awfully hard to get married with me in the cells."

"Also, I'm... not entirely certain, actually, that she can die," he says, somewhat unwillingly.
He lets out a sigh.

His shoulder gets kissed, briefly. "She really scares you, doesn't she?"

Hard. Hard enough it probably hurts, though not badly.
"Give your family some fucking credit."
