Tom,
I'd rather not take too much of your time, but a small matter has come up of which I think I ought to be certain you're made aware. In addition, I was hoping I might beg your help in addressing this matter.
A close friend of mine, one Alex of Tirragen by name, is currently experiencing problems with his spouse, the details of which I allow I do not feel it quite proper I divulge. As they live in the main rooms at Milliways, I have offered him the use of my couch for the past few nights instead, in hopes that he might find the opportunity to better sleep.
Matters have taken a turn for the more complicated, as they often do, and I do not believe either of us thinks it entirely wise he attempt yet to return home. After much consideration, based in no small part on the fact that the rooms Kitty and I share are only designed with but a single bedroom, I thought it best to discuss these matters with you, as stated previously.
I seem to recall that there is a guest suite in the wing of the House that you gifted to my siblings, our friends, and myself. Alex certainly falls under the heading of Friend, for all that he is not of Narnia. Would it be possible to give those quarters to him until such time as he is able to return home? I know there have been some issues recently with security in the House, but I swear I will vouch for him, and I believe that Sir Alanna, the head of Security in Milliways, will do the same if asked.
Yours sincerely,
Edmund Pevensie
