The ride had been pleasant enough - except for the few times when they passed over rough patches or took a particularly sharp turn where he felt such pain that he had to resist threatening to tear the helping blond's spinal chord out and shove it down Cloud's throat. He relaxed when they had entered the garage and the dragon was removed from the motorcycle, keeping himself straddling the motorcycle with his prothetic hand resting against the seat for balance. He shifted when Cloud spoke to him, straightening and taking a careful breath as he reached down to the wound on the back of his leg and felt it with the cold fingers of his talon. He ripped out the strip of shrapnel that had initially caused the wound, hissing softly as whatever repairs the potion had managed to give to that particular site were made nul.

"I'm fine," he murmured out. Decidedly far too old for all of this, he mused, but he would be all right. He needed a few minutes to orient and calm his tender body first before requesting further transportation by Cloud.

Shaking his head a little, Cloud knew he should have expected that answer from Vincent. As stubborn as the rest of us, he thought, aware he would have said the exact same thing. No wonder they all hung around with each other ( ... )

Vincent hummed, pausing before standing on his own two feet and padding into the bathroom, removing his cloak and setting it aside. He started up the hot water, letting it run for a few moments as he reached down and carefully began to peel away the leather surrounding the long, deep cut on his leg. The potion would provide some protection against more grievous infections, but he could bind it with clean cloth for now.

He wet a nearby small hand towel, sitting ontop of the toilet seat so he could clean around the wound, removing the dust, dirt, and caked blood.

"I visited this morning," he replied, loud enough for Cloud to hear.

He twisted his leg to get a better view of his wound before grimacing - blood was attempting to clot, but movement kept ruining his body's efforts. Would definately need stitching. He pressed the damp towel against it, gazing around him briefly in the bathroom.

"Do you have bandages?"

There hadn’t been one moment, after it had been blinded, that the WEAPON’s body wasn’t stiff and tense. All throughout the trip, and as it lay in the room, the dragon had put all of its remaining energy into remaining awake, and alert enough to put up a weak defence should it need it. It kept its body still and unmoving even as it felt the presence of another entered into the room ( ... )

The WEAPON had remained awake for as long as it could after the humans had left, but eventually the adrenaline left its body and the previous exhaustion settled back into place. Its shoulder was protesting loudly along with its leg and wing, and even as it eventually found its way back to the blanket, the dragon injuries sang loudly within its body ( ... )

After dropping Vincent off at Reeve's place, Cloud doubled back to his shop again. He wanted to see if he had a shop to return to for one, and he also wanted to avoid heading back to 7th Heaven with all the swirling thoughts in his head. He thought having a shop would be a bigger reason though, since he knew everyone could contact him ( ... )

The performance never once paused as another entered into the room, and continued on with its task healing the injuries the WEAPON had sustained. Muscles wove back together, and the damaged nerves and flesh along its wing and legs began to lessen while the Lifestream worked on its patient. A groan of discomfort slipped past the resting dragon’s lips as one particular tense knot undid itself, and soon enough any visual signs to the creature previously being injured disappeared ( ... )

Peeling back the bandage around his palm, Cloud only passed a small glance to the creature when it became clear it was awake. He ignored the little snarl and simply relaxed against the wall he was leaning again, dropping the soil bandage down beside him.

He hummed softly the same tune as before as his right hand picked up the twizzers and began to poke around in the holes and slices in his palm. Aside from dried blood, there was nothing of what he had seen before. Strange, he thought as he pulled a few small pieces of glass from his hand.

He ignored the pain and just worked, flexing his hand every once in awhile to test for pain. It took a few minutes to find the last small piece before setting down the twizzers and looking over to the dragon. "You're a WEAPON, aren't you? You bleed Lifestream... and here it is repairing you. The only being I know of from the Lifestream is a WEAPON," he remarked conversationally.
