What: Kindness makes the last arrangements for a shipment for Costa Del Sol, and she encounters an unexpected ‘tourist’.
Kindness waved a hand to the loading crew as they moved the last four crates into the cargo hold of the large ship that would make way to Costa Del Sol. She looked down on the sheet of supplies being sent, having already checked off each of their packing numbers as they were all loaded onboard. Everything was going as planned.
She might even be able to make it back to her bed in time for a couple of hours of sleep. She had an early arriving ship from the south to take care of, but as long as this one sailed off on time, she would have no problems.
“Everything is done, ma’am,” the lead shipping mechanic said as he ran up to her. “They’re just tying down the cargo in the hold and then we’ll be ready to set sail.”
Kindness smiled warmly and nodded her head. “Thank you for all of your help as usual. If the winds are good, the ship will probably arrive earlier than scheduled.” She tucked the clipboard under her right arm and pulled out her Blackberry, text messaging Charity to know the shipment was on route.
Stepping away from the milling about shipping people, she leaned against a wall and checked to make certain that everything else was running as planned. She pushed a strand of dark hair back over her shoulder and smiled in relief. She was ahead of schedule, and she always enjoyed that feeling. “It will be a clear night tonight. Perfect conditions to sail the straight for Costa Del Sol.”
