She hadn't realized there was an audience to her actions and Yuffie went along unknowingly and without a second thought. It was until there was an interrupting voice that Yuffie came to a quick halt, arms stiff at her sides as she slowly turned to face where the voice came from. Her gaze turned curious and lifted to meet with the young woman perched on the window sill of her neighboring building. She was very pretty, and somewhat reminded Yuffie of the more dressed up women of Wutai.

With a slight tilt of her head, Yuffie's hands placed themselves on her hips and she frowned at the other girl. "Forget nothing, just something-- uh... Something. Yeah." Gray eyes searched the area quickly before re-focusing on the strange woman. "Stalking me or something? I know I've got fans and all, but this is ridiculous!" Even with a stranger, Yuffie was still quite full of herself. Hey, she considered herself a hero, she had the right!

A hand was held out and Yuffie sighed heavily. "All right, I'll give you a quick autograph but I've got some business to get to so I can't hang out long, okay?"

Charity’s grin only seemed to get wider when it seemed that she’d startled the other woman. Whatever boredom she was previously feeling evaporated away also when she actually caught sight of just who she’d managed to bump into. Humility had mentioned to not seek out any of the AVALANCHE members for now, but she said nothing about one of them coming across her; something which she’d use entirely to her advantage.

“Oh geez it looks like you’re too good for me.” Dropping down to the ground, Charity smoothed out her long dress before returning her grinning face to regard Yuffie. It had felt like forever since she’d been able to chat with someone outside of her sisters, and Charity wasn’t about to waste any moment when given such a perfect opportunity. “I’ll have to work on my stalking skills it seems.”

Walking up towards the young ninja, there was a definite bounce in her step as she approached Yuffie. “The last autograph I got from someone they signed my thigh since paper is so overrated,” Charity announced without a single thought for her words. Grinning widely as she exposed her right thigh towards the other woman and offered. “I’ll let you sign my right thigh if you really want to give me one; unless you’re more of a breast signing woman?”

A look of surprise was most obvious in her expression when the other actually agreed with her stalking accusation. "What?" That had caught her off guard, which was seemingly becoming a routine with Yuffie for the past few days. "I- uh, yeah! Yeah, that's right. Gotta learn from an expert ninja like me!" Well, as long as it fed her ego than there was no room to argue or complain. Yuffie scratched idly at the back of her head, glancing around again to free herself from the somewhat awkward moment...

Only to be thrust back into another one. The little ninja took a very large step back when the woman approached her and, without shame, offered her a thigh and a suggested a breast. If only she'd meant chocobo-wise, maybe this wouldn't have been as weird for her. "I'm- Hey, I think-- Well, I mean," Yuffie stammered for some sense of being collected and rubbed the back of her neck uncomfortably. "Paper is so much better, really, I mean you can frame it and put it up! Skin you hafta wash off eventually." Her words jumbled together in her quick speech, fighting for the nerve to look this woman in the eye again.

"Uh, actually to be completely honest, I'm not the signing type! Yeah," she laughed nervously and shrugged her shoulders, "sorry! But, uh, maybe I can just remember a name and put a good word in with the WRO or something? I've got connections and, you know, stuff."

Charity tried. She tried harder to do this one single task than she had ever done before to hold the laughter at bay. But the reaction to her little stunt was just far too amusing, and before she knew what was happening, Charity found herself laughing at the poor girl’s sense of awkwardness and stammering replies.

The sound itself was one more of amusement than anything mocking, and without warning, Charity threw an arm around Yuffie’s shoulders. “You take things far too serious. You have to learn to take some things as joking around.” Charity announced with a grin as she playfully pat the side of Yuffie’s face. Releasing the young ninja from her hold, the bubbly Virtue walked a few paces ahead of Yuffie before she abruptly stopped and spun around to face the other woman.

“So what’cha doing all the way out here at this time in the morning Little Miss Expert Ninja?” Not that Yuffie was any taller than she was, but that was completely beside the point.

Now she was laughing at her! No, wait, not at her, just... laughing. Yuffie blinked once at the mystery girl, then a second time. "Huh?" She didn't have time to really ask what was so funny, as the woman put her arm over the ninja's shoulders like they'd been friends for an eternity. "Hey, I'm not all serious!" Man, maybe Cloud and Vincent were rubbing off on her. That was a horror all in itself, it had to be stopped. This didn't happen when she hung out with Tifa, so it clearly had to be the boys' faults.

Gray eyes blinked again at the light pat to her cheek, widened gaze watching as her new company began walking away. She gave a startled noise as she turned to face her again, a brief thought fluttering through her mind; Is this what it's like to be around me? She had to admit the other woman reminded her of her own enthusiasm and energy before everything had started turning into a grand ball of stress. All these thoughts and she almost missed the question. "What," she asked intelligently.

Shaking her head to get back with the conversation, Yuffie waved her direction-marked hand in the air nonchalantly. "Nothing, nothing. Morning stroll, it's good for the heart for those of us that need to save the world and such," her tongue spun the lie for her, as simple as it had ever been. It hadn't even phased her that she'd been called 'little', there were worse names. Like Princess. Ugh. "And what about you? Most of the city's supposed to be asleep right now, it's too early in the morning for normal people."

Yuffie really was a terrible liar, and Charity was debating whether she’d point out the young ninja’s blunder. Where would the fun in that be though? Not when she could ignore it for now and continue to play along with the Wutai Princess’ ploy.

“I was bored. I don’t do too well with standing around doing nothing so I thought I’d go and do a little exploring.” Glancing at the ruined city around them, Charity gestured to the broken buildings and debris littering the streets as she announced. “There’s a treasure trove of secrets and fun to be explored here.”

Turning back to face Yuffie, Charity didn’t bother hiding the knowing grin as she mentioned. “I have to admit; it’s kind of a strange place to go for a morning stroll.” Just why was the ninja Princess here? Obviously there was something important hiding within the ruins. She doubted it was that Jenova freak. From what she’d read, Yuffie was hardly the type to go searching for that kind of trouble. So something more important on a friendlier scale?

"Uh-huh..." It sounded like a very Yuffie-excuse, one that would work against anyone but her dad. And probably Cloud. And Vincent. Probably Tifa, Reeve, and Nanaki too... Okay, so it wasn't a very good excuse when Yuffie used it. Her gaze followed Charity's gestures and she shook her head slightly in response. "Not really, no. I've checked. All this place has is busted up ShinRa stuff and bad memories. No secrets anymore." At least as far as she knew, and now Cloud with the WEAPON was their only secret.

Obviously this girl didn't believe her morning stroll. Well, she had a point, this wasn't her usual place to do any kind of exercises let alone just a leisurely walk, but Yuffie couldn't tell her the truth. What would sound right that was kind of business-tuned and believable? Oh, that was right! Vincent had mentioned going through old ShinRa files with that blond Turk, that would be a perfect excuse! And, even better, it wouldn't give anything away!

"All right, you got me. I'm headed for the old ShinRa headquarters. But it's really top secret, so keep it hush, yeah? It's business to help keep all you civilians safe." Well, at least she was making an attempt at being some sort of authority figure. "Speaking of which, you should be careful out here! You don't know the crazies walking around..."

Wandering Midgar had hardly been an enlightening experience. Ruins, proof of the failing of humanity, that was all Nanaki had seen. He had seen the homeless derelicts in the ruins, and the greedy treasure hunters, and taken a strange delight in scaring them off. That was one thing he had noticed about himself during recently; the longer he spent away from the calming presence of Lucrecia, the angrier he became towards humanity. Slipping into it was self-gratifying, but worrying none-the-less.

It was not completely by chance that he happened upon Yuffie. He caught her scent long before he came to be standing on the rooftops to see her, or even hear her. The woman she was with concerned him. There were plenty of people around Midgar were of a dangerous nature. While he was confident Yuffie could defend herself in a real fight, Nanaki also knew that violence was not the only way humanity could be dangerous.

"The 'crazies' walking around, are threats you should be more aware of, Daughter of Wutai." Nanaki finished her sentence for her, leaping down from the roof to land behind the strange woman. He eyed the woman carefully. The odd dress, while certainly a minor thing, was enough to incite Nanaki's suspicions...or paranoia.

[Sorry for the failz!! I was going to reply on Thursday, but I got swamped with homework and packing and then I had to head interstate for the weekend =\ ]

“Ooh top secret huh?” Charity echoed with a large grin. There probably was some truth behind that particular statement. For poor Yuffie however, the bubbly Virtue’s curiosity was now captured and Charity found herself wondering just what was so top secret that they’d send the little Wutai princess all the way out here. “You know how mu-”

Whatever else Charity was going to say was cut off the moment another voice broke in to the conversation. Taking a single step to the side so she could get a better look at the newcomer, Charity’s pig-tails swayed from side to side as she shook her head in amusement. So this was Nanaki? She wondered quietly to herself. She’d heard about him (and all of the members of AVALANCHE) but this was the first time actually seeing him. Not including the colour, he and Lucrecia really were similar in appearance.

“It really must be top secret stuff if this big kitty is snooping around.” Charity announced cheerfully. It appears her little morning stroll has produced quite a bit of information. She’d have to call up Hume once she got away from the pair and inform their leader of the situation. “You’re the one that the papers keep talking about right? Wow I didn’t realise that you could speak! So you really as dangerous as they make you out to be?”

( ooc; D: It's okay! Real life first, do not forget! )

A lump caught in her throat when it seemed the little information she'd divulged just simply wasn't enough for the new girl, and Yuffie took an involuntary step back when it seemed she was going to be cornered for more. An almost relieved sigh passed between her lips when, out of nowhere, her savior on four legs with a flaming tail interrupted the blue-haired girl. "Aw, c'mon now. I could take on any crazy person that comes my way!" As long as it wasn't Kindness or Humility, as far as she knew.

Yuffie smirked down at Nanaki, hands on her hips as her confidence was renewed with the reassurance of back up. "He's not snooping, Red isn't the snoopy type." Otherwise she would have been dragging him to all of her daily, troublesome deeds. Now that she thought about it, though, he'd make an awfully good companion in such undercover missions of sneaking and hiding. Sans the fire-tail.

The ninja quickly knelt down beside the firelion, arms wrapping over-affectionately around his neck as she snuggled her cheek against his fur with much exaggeration. "He's not dangerous at all! Just a big, lovable teddy bear if you ask me!" Except for when he was scolding her. Then he wasn't too huggable in the slightest.

"Dangerous?" Nanaki leered at the woman. He had an inherent distrust of the stranger, partly from the simple fact that she was human. "I am hardly a danger to any that pose no threat to my friends." Nanaki paused again, and looked Yuffie as she clung to him. That was the best he was going to do in terms of an apology for the time being. He still was not sure he should be apologising, but he also knew it was the right thing to do. Yuffie's 'cutesy' remarks made Nanaki rethink the entire concept with annoyance.

"Tell me, miss, who are you?" There was something about her that did not ring true. Was it the odd dress? The disgustingly energetic atmosphere she gave off, despite facing off with a firelion? He remained scowling at the woman, trying his best to ignore Yuffie hanging off him.

Charity would have laughed at Yuffie’s subconscious step back if it wouldn’t have given her entirely away; although considering their current situation, the virtue hardly doubted that was an issue. What the true question was though was did she blow her cover now, or eventually retreat and tail them? Charity knew what she wanted to do which was to have fun and play with the two little AVALANCHER’s, but she could hear Humility’s voice in the back of her head disapproving and asking why she couldn’t just follow them.

Making a thoughtful sound as she overacted her considering the pair, Charity rubbed her chin in contemplation as she murmured. “Maybe not dangerous, but do you not like human women or something? You’re kind’a leering lewdly at me. It’s not like I’ve done anything wrong.” Yet her mind finished off as Charity regarded the pair.

Whatever thoughtful expression she gave disappeared in the next moment as the bubbly virtue grinned. She could tell that the firelion was rather suspicious of her which was something she found far too amusing. An idea struck her in that moment, and with an unprecedented display of mischief glinting in her gaze, Charity cheerfully answered. “My name’s Charity, but my friends call me Char.”

Yuffie opted to keep out for the most part, quite content with cuddling with the red creature beside her. In the back of her mind, she somewhat remembered being told of Nanaki's first encounter with AVALANCHE, and Aerith in particular. Not liking two-legged things, or something along those lines. Well, according to Yuffie, she just didn't count. Nanaki had to like her no matter what! Or so she decided anyway.

Gray eyes switched from girl to lion then back, lips pursed in mock thought. As nice and 'charming' as this woman was, she always had to take Nanaki's opinion into consideration. Besides, he had a great sense of judgment, not counting his heightened senses regardless. If it had been any other time than this, she would have accused Nanaki of being paranoid and let it go, but even Reeve told her to be careful, so listening to the beast was probably the better choice in life.

Her head tilted curiously into the firelions mane, eyes narrowing cautiously on the suddenly named girl. "Charity?" What was wrong with people, naming their kids like that... Humility, Kindness, Chari-- Oh. Yuffie stiffened for a quick second, then relaxed as she released her grip on Nanaki and stood straight again. "Man, what un-imaginative parents." Merely coincidence. The other two had gone right out and tried to kill them. As far as she could tell, this wasn't an attempt on her life. Was it? No, no, the most this one had done was threaten to expose more skin than Yuffie wanted to ever see.

As the woman mentioned her name, Nanaki's sneer resolved itself into malicious smile, or the closest he could get to it. The startled reaction from Yuffie meant she had made the realisation too. Nanaki did find himself regretting asking Reeve for more information on the people that attacked WRO troops in Costa Del Sol, but Nanaki had never been one to believe in coincidence. Not for humans anyway. Part of him knew he was being, at best, over-cautious, at worst downright paranoid, but he discarded the thoughts for the time being.

Nanaki prowled lazily towards Charity, the smile still adorning his face. He got close to her, not so close as to be in kicking range, but still good enough to catch some of the not-so-prevalent scents on her person. "Well, miss Charity, you certainly seem...energetic. Would that be, may I ask, a hint of sunscreen I detect on you? Weather in Edge recently has not been quite so suitable for sunbathing, I believe." He could not guess how she would react in the end to his hint. Perhaps a casual discarding of the fact, perhaps violent outburst. Nanaki tensed his muscles as much as he could without being obvious.

Charity shook her head at Yuffie’s obvious display of realisation. It was a wonder how the little princess had managed to survive this long in life with how much she gave away, but the virtue put her survival in the category of ‘obviously due to AVALANCHE’. Smiling broadly at Yuffie’s thoughts about her name, Charity winked playfully at the Wutai princess as she added. “Well I think it suits my nature perfectly.”

The malicious grin on the firelion’s face was more than enough to inform the virtue that the mangy cat was hardly thinking positively about her presence, but how much he actually knew was something Charity was uncertain about. It seemed obvious by their words that they were told something about the raid on Costa, but how much she was unsure. Not that it mattered. If she had cared about her identity being found out in the first place she wouldn’t have openly attacked Vinny-boy and the others in the first place.

“When you sell it as a living it’s hard not to want to test the new products,” Charity said instead with a large grin; she was hardly lying, but Charity tone was dripping with amusement as she spoke. Giggling lightly, the bubbly virtue crouched down to be on eye level with Nanaki. Placing her hand on the ground to support her balance, Charity was ready to leap away at a moments notice as she offered. “Are you looking to buy some there for yourself big boy? Or maybe get that girlfriend of yours a nice little cat-toy to remember you by?”

Yuffie's hands clasped together behind her back as she took a step away from the pair, gaze turning lazily down the old streets of Midgar. She really couldn't be standing here with a possible threat, but she wasn't about to leave Nanaki alone with the strangely excited girl. "Hn, well to each their own, I guess," she muttered, looking to Charity again.

Now that she thought about it, those other two women had very unique appearances as well. Was it really all just one huge coincidence? There had obviously been more than just the two that attacked herself, Cloud, and the WEAPON. The others that were in Costa del Sol were on the loose, too. Yuffie frowned then, one hand resting on her hip as she continued to stare at the virtue. Nanaki was clearly implying that she was one of the women that had attacked Vincent, Barret, and Cait, but she was way too cheerful!

Her full attention returned to Nanaki and she warily watched as Charity crouched down closer to the firelion. Her recent step away was taken back as she moved closer to the pair, protective over the beast and now much more curious to Charity's intentions. "Hey, Red's new at this dating stuff, only I can pick on him for it," she said defensively, though that was definitely not the point in this.
