snapecase, Week Two

Week Two of snapecase saw the posting of the following works for Categories One through Five:

(Art) The Beauty of Sorrow (G): Yellow chrysanthemums symbolize neglected love or sorrow. A newborn Severus was cruelly born amongst such flowers. His sorrow is palpable.

(Art) Cokeworth Style (G): I was working on a comic that showed Severus finding a way to make the most of his cast-off wardrobe by taking scissors to it and adopting a punk-inspired style. Then I realised there wasn't enough story in it, and I had better let his clothes speak for themselves.

(Fic) The Killing Kind (PG): Monsters come in all shapes and sizes-so do heroes.

(Fic) A Matter of Trust (R): Severus was never Dumbledore's Man.

(Art) When the Doorbell Rings Twice (PG): When you reach a certain age you start wondering about roads not taken. On the eve of his 100th birthday Severus Snape learns that he has not been forgotten in the wizarding world. The Daily Prophet reports that the official Ministry's centennial celebrations for a dead war hero have had to be postponed because he is still a controversial figure. So maybe staying "dead" and starting a new Muggle life was the right decision all those years ago. And yet. When the door bell rings twice and his unexpected visitor turns out to be a welcome friend from the past he realises there are some things he should not have left behind.
