Uh. I can understand those with paid accounts leaving LJ, or downgrading to basic accounts- but those of us who aren't paying LJ a cent? Would it really matter if we left? No.
Now here is my point; leaving is what they want us to do, apparently. Whatshisface burr-something made it horribly clear that he hates fandom. Mocked fandom publicaly. So pissing us off to make us leave? This is the new plan for LJ/SixApart.
I know I'd be pleased if the people I piss off just upped and left.
Not really winning the battle by high-tailing it to another server.
Here is where I make another point; if we all decide to leave in some sort of retaliation, in a twisted little sense.. we let them win. We let them mock and hate us.
I don't know about you, but I don't too kindly to being openly mocked. Nor do I run away and snark behind someone's back. I stand my ground and I fight. (minus the whole kng rp thing, but that's what happens when you fight someone rock-stupid.)
If they knock me down? delete? I'll get another name. I will never purchase a thing, but I'll stick around and say my peace. I'll flood topics and posts, leave comical or rude pictures if my mood swings that way. If I feel chatty? I'll phone and leave a complaint.
Basically I'm saying is that I know I'm a thorn in their ass. All of fandom is a thorn in lj/sixapart's ass. I know I am, and I don't plan on being removed anytime soon. And it's my understanding that more thorns = bad asshurt.
