It has been sooooo long since I have written in here...my apologies!!!
In the past month or so...
In the past month or so...
- we celebrated christmas which was kind of bittersweet for me. I, for the past 3 years, have done 98% of all the christmas shopping...including my own gifts from my parents. It's just hard b/c of things with my mom and of course my dad works 60-70 hours a week and has no time to do the shopping so it kind of just falls on me... I don't mind doing it but it kinda takes some of the fun out of christmas and instead of being excited I end up worried about whether or not I got everyone everything they wanted. It's hard. My dad sent me such a sweet email the next day and I know I will save it forever.
- I went on vacation for two whole weeks and I had a blast!!! My mom ended up not going to Cabo, long story, but I had fun anyway. I went snorkeling and also jet skiing twice. My brothers and dad also went golfing and on some ATV tour but I opted out so I could lay out instead. It was really relaxing. Vegas was super fun too and so was San Diego. I miss Ash soooo much!
- I got home a week ago and I was actually super excited to see the kids I babysit for.. it was a nice break b/c now I actually like being around them again hahaha.
- I am going on a cruise in May with Kaleigh, Aub, Amber and Jill. I cannot wait!!!
- I'm also going to Acapulco with Ashley and some of her family and her brothers friends in June and I can't wait for that either!!! Her brother won some contest where we basically get a giant mansion for a week and a personal driver hahaha..should be amazing! I kinda have a crush on this older guy that is going too...eeek!
- My birthday is in less than two weeks. On Friday 2/1 (my actual bday) I'm going downtown for dinner with my family, aunt jan, uncle chris, kelly, josh, jill and kyle and then also my friends Erin and Kristina. I really wish that Alix would be in town to come, but she's going to Mardi Gras. Anyway, we're going to Kinzie Chop house and then Erin and I are going to go out for some drinks and I'll be spending the night downtown at the Sofitel that night. Then on Saturday I have some spa appt's at the red door and then I'm going to take the train home (leaving my car at the hotel) so I can get ready and then take my hummer limo ;) back downtown with my friends who live in Indiana and then we're meeting my friends who live in Chicago at Enclave for the night. I am SO excited! About 30-40 people are going to be there and I seriously can't stop thinking about it.
- I need to find a hot dress to wear...eek. You know, I kinda hate big birthdya events b/c you get so excited and then it's over in the blink of an eye :( sad.
- I sent out all but one of my grad school applications. woo hoo for me. Boo hoo on the fact that I just have to sit and wait. ugh, what if i get denied?!?!!?
- I went to the dermatologist and had to have a biopsy on this freckle on my shoulder that I thought was darker than I remembered.. it hurts! Anyway, I really want to go tanning but I figure I should wait to make sure I don't have skin cancer before I go...on the other hand, if I do have skin cancer I might as well go tanning b/c there isn't much I can do about it now! HA!
- I watched the whole first season of The Tudors. It is raunchy but I LOVE it!!! go figure hahaha
- Matt and I were doing SO great for awhile and then just recently hit a rough patch. I'm really trying hard to let go of the past b/c I think that's the only way Matt and I are going to get any better ....
