Jetta cuteness

Thought I'd update with an assortment of Jetta tidbits of adorableness from the past couple of weeks. It's hard to believe she's been here for a month already!

She only gets up on the couch when I let her sit on my lap, but when she wants an invite she will lean against me and slide her butt end up onto the couch!

When she's really impatient about something, like when she's in a down stay and I'm filling food bowls, she will thump her front feet on the floor.

When she wants something she's not supposed to have, she will lick so the adorable will soften you up so she can have her way. It doesn't really work, but it does make me smile!

She follows Monty around trying to get him to play, just like an annoying little sister trying to get the big brother to do something. He does play with her quite a bit, but sometimes he's had enough.

When I'm busy on the computer and she thinks it's been too long since she had any attention, she will come up and press her chin against my arm, making it impossible to type.

At mealtimes she is supposed to be in a down stay next to me. Sometimes she has difficulty and needs a reminder from me. Eventually she will give in and behave. when she gives up trying to get up she will throw herself on her side. It's like a little kid with the pouty voice saying, "fine, have it your way."

She's doing some really nice work in harness. She is particularly good at remembering things and making suggestions based on past experience. She generalizes really well and is doing great with all our crazy curb approaches.

I've been working her almost all the time in just a flat buckle collar. She so very easy to handle. She has a nice pace and pull. she's very careful with making sure I have good footing, which is very much appreciated. When she gets going in harness she has this sort of bounce to her step. It's up and down, not side to side, and it makes her ears fly up and down. It's crazy cute!

More and more people are recognizing her as a Doberman. Interestingly no one runs off screaming. Mostly the comments I get are about how dainty and ladylike she is. Perhaps they'd have second thoughts about ladylike if they saw her licking Gregg's smelly feet. EEEW! In public though, she conducts herself like a respectable lady.

Now, if Monty would stop waking her up at 4 in the a.m. we'd be all set.
