(no subject)
so much has happend in the past week
- we all know about the recent tragedy at virginia tech. i can't begin to imagine the pain that the fellow students and families and friends and teachers of the victims have to go through now. post-traumatic disorder. survivor's guilt.
- however, through all this, 40 people were killed in darfur at a camp in the same way- gunmen going through and just killing.
- for core we went to an art gallery in CSUN and saw some pretty intense (ms.white's word!) subvertisements. made me realize how ignorant most of us are to the fact that starbucks, disney, guess?, coke, nike, and more rule our lives daily, whether or not we're aware of it. but it doesn't rule just us, they literally have empires outside the US.
- despite all this depressing stuff, i have finally realized that i don't have to keep praying for something good to happen- it's been in front of me the whole time; the prayer was answered before it was prayed. i realized that i am truly lucky and blessed- i have the best friends in the world that anyone can ask for; they're always there for me thick and thin, to joke around with, to go up on stage in front of 4000 kids and hula-hoop with, to cheer me up, to simply talk about w/e. i have parents that love me, even though it doesn't seem like it at times; they've always been good to me and lately i've realized i haven't been that great to them. so i've taken a personal vow to become a better person. then (i don't wanna jinx it or anything) but lately the dodgers have been doing pretty well, which cheers me up quite a bit. so all in all- friends, family, dodgers. what more could you ask for? even if i don't end up with her, we'll still be great friends
hahaaa and just more recently, today ella and i had a pretty funny long conversation on (paper) YAHOOOO!/aim :D i never realized it till now but shes one of the people i can just laugh and chillax around even if she starts yelling at me to "SHUT UP DAVID!" hahaa in which i always respond "TIE YOUR SHOES ELLA!" and ella always says "THEY ARE TIED!" or "I DON'T HAVE SHOES!"
