[ACTION: Somewhere in Mayfield]
[When it comes down to it, Logan is a pretty logical guy. If there are traitors, he'll kill them. If strange mushrooms suddenly appear on the ground overnight, he won't eat them. Not knowingly anyway. But a man gets hungry. Even if he doesn't eat much, he still needs something to keep himself going. Just a little ( Read more... )

[Anon does, in fact, exhibit common sense sometimes. When placed in a strange environment, he will learn where the food is. When placed in front of strange mushrooms, he will not take them for food.

But, of course, not being a paranoiac, he doesn't suspect a thing and goes through his meals as usual -- likely ingesting a ridiculous amount of mushrooms in the process. In fact, most of his day has been spent in a state of altered reality; he's been torn between fascinated, frustrated, and baffled for a while now.

Wandering back from school (which he also tends to wander in and out of, class schedule notwithstanding), something new starts to take shape as he gets closer to 'home'.

... It's really a little too dark. And even his dull human senses are tingling from presences in the shadows, countless ones. Shadows that move. A shadow that moves? It might be a really big shadow, actually.

And it whispers.

It's all kind of exciting.]

Is this another trial? Or are you just new players? Heh, this makes it feel almost a little like home.

[His voice is amused to the point of being a little mocking, as he strolls nonchalantly just ahead of a roil of shadow. There's somebody vaguely familiar coming down the walk, but he doesn't slow -- after all, common sense says that you shouldn't step on your shadow.]

[Logan doesn't hear him over the shouts from the Crawler or the whispers of its Children. He doesn't even seem to have noticed Anon as he made his way down the sidewalk.

He stops and takes a defensive stance as several shadowy beings emerge from the darkness. He knows he can't take them on in overwhelming numbers, but this he can handle. They are individually rather weak, only requiring a few strikes before disappearing.

Of course, to anyone unaffected, it would look as though he's simply stabbing the air.]
